Hi K.

ixion helped me see the light on 32d, but we're both wondering about 1a being spelled with 2 "L"s.

Chambers shows 2 L's.

Tall - untruthful.

Cheers

Thanks K.

Just found it in Brewers:
Borstall (A.S. beork, a hill, and steall, place, or
stigol, stile).

Thanks Zardoz - don't have a Brewers either - did find it online though - should come in handy to curtail my many ignorant postings!

ixion,

Was just going to send you the address.
Click PDF on the left side. It will download, then save it to your PC. Faster searching that way.
It's about 90MB.

This is by way of a PS, as I've just picked up the thread. On a quick run through, I don't think that anyone has mentioned that Chambers gives both spellings - Borstal and Borstall
