parti (I trap reversed)

Thanks very much. Never heard of parti, but am out of the country at the moment, and this word didn’t appear on any of the crossword solver sights. Thanks.

Thanks very much. Am out of the country, so didn’t see answers the following day. Don’t know what parti means though, and can’t find a definition, apart from an architectural term which doesn’t fit the clue. Thanks anyway.

Chambers dictionary gives "parti" as "a marriageable person considered as a match" (i.e "eligible" in clue)
