Hi - this excellent quiz has a deadline of next week and I have two to go - both requiring the word(s) / figure(s) (or combinations thereof) that come next in the sequences:
#7. Wilson; Brown; Eden
#8. I; N; R

Any bright ideas or clues on direction of travel would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks, all.

I had two theories for 7: I N R Iudaeorum, or International, National, Regional, Local? But not wildly convinced by either. Now xwordfan has kindly offered another workable answer which fits the sequence, but all the other clues in the section seem to have a clear connection.

Thanks, for Rab, Rusty, but why? Unless Brown refers to George rather than Gordon, the time sequence seems out, so wondering if it could be some sporting / music / other quartet?

Wilson's Deputy Prime Minister was George Brown.
Anthony Eden's Deputy Prime Minister was Rab Butler.
Just a guess!

I'm finding this section very difficult too. Does anyone have any hints for what comes next in the following sequences?

14. ONE=3; TWO=6; THREE=8;
15. An owl; a useful cart; a pound of rice

Thanks
