That's what I tried to gather.

Maybe its my dialect that makes them sound completely indifferent,
But I work around the UK constantly, I cannot think of a dialect that would have them rhyme.

I would pronounce it as PORT MAN TOO

Others may it as PORT MAN TAU

But not PORT MAN TOE or TOW

So that is why I was at a loss. :-/
