Well, ftsalmon is way ahead of me! I've been struggling with this on & off all yesterday & have started looking at it again today, but am still only about halfway.

In the hopes of kicking my enfeebled brain into some kind of activity, would some kind person or persons aid with the following :
1A - Holding a cape, mount a grazing animal (6)
5A - Brit maybe showing discipline (7)
????E??
&
9A - European leaves room with coat of any cloth (8)
C????B???

To underline the grimness of my situation I should add that I haven't a clue as to either of the two very long ones!
