Pi is a mathematical "constant".
Bygone days are "past"
Arc could be "a RC".
RC is a Roman Catholic, sometimes called "papist".
That's the best I can offer.

I would guess that calling someone a "Papist" is not a very complimentary term?

Chambers Dictionary states that "papist" is a "derogatory term".
