Christmas?????

I don't get or read the Guardian and I suppose the theme is something you have to work out. If not, can you enlighten us/me? x

Th Guardian puzzles are all available free online here

I wouldn't recommend this one, though...

If you are desperate, look at the answer bank website, the answer to 13d is there. I struggle every week with the guardian prize but it’s always interesting.

I agree with ChrieE...
Solving this was like an night with the toothache. I'm no prude, and seldom, if, ever do I enjoy Paul's stuff.
This one was remarkably free of his juvenile smut and lavatorial nonsense :)

Hi Sallymac
I haven't got long today to make progress and am completely stumped by 13d. I tried the answerbank website as you suggested, but could see nothing there. I may be on the wrong website. Please can I have clue to the theme? The first letter might help or a clue to 12ac Very primitive voting system dubious American boxing club's backing (11). I have P?R????????

Hi roof
I've not bothered to parse 12a, but your R is wrong, I think

Yes, lots of them!

Your E is better. Definition is very (very) primitive. I'd be interested if you can parse it!
