11d. Part-time bridge partners in mounting corruption, cheating initially (7,5) Answer is conning tower. I get that:
Cheating = conning
Then w and e in rot upwards
But why is conning tower =part time?

A Conning Tower is a part time bridge - it can be used as such when needed.
