I'm unable to find the correct answer for the last clue, could someone please help?
21 D Amiable chap with feet of normal size. (6) ?e?t?e

Gentle, amiable. Gent= chap and the last letters/feet of 'normal' and 'size'.

Thanks for your explanation Malone, I don't think I would ever have figured that out.

Ftsalmon, glad I could help. I think I worked backwards on this one - 'gentle' fitted 'amiable' and I could see 'gent' for 'chap'...and then had to work out how the rest of it worked!
