Film the French with a fungal infection likes to sing (12)

This is driving me mad as I can only come up with Mistle Thrush
on the basis of fungal infection being thrush and anagram of Les Mis for Film the French but this would be (6,6)

I shall be grateful if anyone can give me a better answer

Mistle-thrush hyphenated is an option.
Film = mist + Le = the (in) French.

Just looked in Chambers and the entry is definitely hyphenated.
