21d Having no sense, union job finished (4)

I suspect I have an answer to this, but I'm not seeing how the "job finished" fits in (and it's not helping me with the other one!)

21 the first 3 letters are a Union abbreviation

If one is removed from money, it could give the last two letters? (with a word for vast quantity) to give sordid?

If you are thinking of the same union as I was, zozozo, I'm still not seeing where the last letter comes from.
