Snob is an old word, from Shakespeare, I think, that means a Cobbler. Cobbler also can mean a drink.

Hi seamus, I don't regularly do the wee stinker so until now I didn't feel comfortable posting among regulars but as no one else has ventured forth .... I agree with the early poster with swell.
Definition: expand, pad out the apostrophe in the clue and Chambers gives an area of gently rising ground which fits with the other "thematics".
