Another easy Prize, I thought, but I do have a question.

21d Young male hogs run over to get a bit of bacon (6)

Where does the final N come from?

I think it's just a bit of bacon - ie the last letter; but seems a bit weak

Thanks scribbler. I had the "bit of bacon" as the definition, but I suppose it could be an attempt at an &lit - not a good one, though.

I parsed it as "on" being synonym for "over"

It was just under a 15-minute solve today which is unusual for me but I was stuck in the duck for too long.

Yes, the duck wasn't entirely fair - not an English word!

Chambers does not show it as a duck, only as hoax or part of an aircraft but mentions it is literally from the French

I also parsed it in the same way as jazzgirl. So much for feeling good ... Trouble is, I'm stuck on 8 of the clues, particularly the top right quarter. I'll pick one to ask for your help on, and maybe it'll unlock others ...
