Hey, nowall, how come you didn't pick me up for "manouvre" too? Apart from anything, I bet I'm the only one on this thread who had any idea what "caracole" meant before it appeared in any quiz.

Three points...

1) The thing I pictured above could be mistaken for a hat - but is clearly a wonderful and fitting trophy for any Dunce.
2) I did not find any spelling mistakes in Terry's recent post (#23).
3) I am not going to post a picture of the thing that Terry suggested as an alternative to a trophy.

Mamya, thank you for your kind and generous offer. I promise you I would give it pride of place in my ever growing collection - it seems everybody loves a dunce. Not sure what use I have for willy-warmers, whatever activity I might be indulging in. Anyway, here's a Dunce-cap I found yesterday:
