Lo ! is archaic

Ah yes! I have heard the expression 'lo and behold' in conversation, but never really querried its spelling!

So.what's the solution to 30a? Sets about yaks in mountains when on hikes. I have "bespeaks". Incidentally one of the most obscure crosswords I've seen for some time.
