Thanks for the comments Brendan and others. Can I thank everyone who helped me to finally finish this task started in 2013! Thought it would never happen Just did not like the tone of the remarks by zozozo or cerasus which were sarcastic and unnecessary. I will help anyone I can .

Sorry - I did not intend to be sarcastic either. I was just wondering whether you had not responded to a request for placed letters because you were asking for answers to get you kick started ( which some on the forum do and there is nothing wrong with that).

what is the date or number of the times jumbo you are getting the clues from?

It's mentioned earlier in the thread that the crossword is from 2013.

Congratulations Wystyorkshireman on completing your Jumbo crossword. I remember vividly the first time I completed my first cryptic crossword, and it's no exaggeration to say that I was utterly elated.
