Can anyone help with 52 across? "Something chewable, in terms of ham?" (7) I've got S?E?E?EY and the only plausible answer I can think of is scenery. It fits the grid but I can't make it fit the clue. Baffled.

I think it's that ham actors are said to 'chew up the scenery'.

To chew the scenery is to overact/ ham it up

Unsettled is double definition

Still to confirm is unsettled/undecided

Showery is unsettled weather

I was pleased that someone explained the "Hamlet" one in such a way that it confirmed what I had guessed at.

I'm stuck on 4 in the bottom right, so assistance with this one may help with the others :
48A - 400m? Record seeing one take first place in commemorative style (8)
????D???

I also have two annoying ones elsewhere :
15A - Tests extremes of tide in port (7)
T?I?S?S
&
16A - Change making him hire (6)
R?F?R?

I'd be grateful as per for any help especially if I've put wrong letters in.
