Something must be wrong with some of my other answers
14 across is the problem I am left with as a consequence.
14A Image worshippers (9) - I have
I ? O ? A ? E ? I

I'm would guess it will start with ICON - there seems to be no word that fits. The down clues that interlock with 14A to give me the I O A E and I are:
8 Down - Wasteful (11) gives me - INEFF(I)CIENT
15 Down - Navigation instrument (6) - (O)CTANT
3 Down - Subversive memeber (11) - INFILTR(A)TOR
4 Down - Pestering (10) - HARASSM(E)NT
12 Down - Logical (8) - RAT(I)ONAL

Aren't the Sunday Times Concise Crossword solutions published anywhere - I couldn't find them?

Great - that's it! Thanks. This forced me to change RATIONAL to REASONED and the solution to the last remaining clue also fell out as a consequence.

I didn't thing HARASSMENT quite fitted with Pestering either.

It's fine as a noun.

Yes - seen that way it's fine - this is just one of the many mental re-adjustments you have to keep making or reminding yourself of when trying to map a solution on to a clue - always seems so much easier to see with hindsight but that is the game I suppose.
