19d. Support, way down the bed, one hugging hooker? (7) P?T?R?P. I can see PITPROP as a support and perhaps PRO as hooker but can anyone explain it all please?

I've tried a few ways to make it work fully, but can't.

I've put "pitprop" as my answer, but cannot fully parse it, either.
I thought "prop" for support and maybe "pit" for bed , but could get no further?

A pitprop is a support.
A slang term for "bed" is "pit".
In the game of rugby there are props (prop forwards)
There are also players in rugby called "hookers".
Now I am not sure if during the game the prop would be hugging the hooker, but that is as close as I can get!

I went wrong in thinking "prop" was the "support"

"pit" for bed
and "pitprop" for support = definition.

Well fathomed out I dismissed the Rugby angle early on.
