If I'm right it's not a good clue. 2-4 would be fairer, and "in Italian" is just wrong

Yes, poor clue and I'd hyphenate it........ co-edit.

I couldn' t find "co-edit" - hyphenated or otherwise - in a dictionary to check?
And "co ed" is written as two separate words (no hyphen) in Chambers and as coed, one word, in my OED!

"article in Italian" I can only assume is bad grammar? Should rather be "pronoun in Italian"

I think the definition is "Prepare together article" with wordplay CO-ED and IT for "Italian"; it's the "in" that doesn't make sense to me.

I would agree with that , Chris - I could not account for the "in" either.

Surely "in" is just a direction towards the "fodder" .
It is common,y used, so is "at" and "by"
off to get breakfast (in SoCal)
