Way above my pay grade, about half unsolved, including:
3d. Component of world trade, 7,6. Is it Faraday Switch? If so, how does Faraday mean world?
25a. Stone axes: small number returned. Assume it's Onyx. 'On' is small number returned, but how is yx axes?
1a. Brother knowledgeable about the setter's sort of music 4,2,4. No idea, would help with some first letters if anyone knows the answer.
6a would also help give two first letters: Tip from agent to stay close to violent criminal, 4.
20a. Large bars that sing at day's end, 4,5. Last trump fits with crossing letters but why?

20 last thing - anagram of l(arge) that sing

1 definition is brother (expression of surprise)
First word is a term for knowledgeable
Middle word is my ( setter's)
Third word is a type of music

Without seeing the other letters, it seems that 6 a could also be thug t hug

It could - I wasn't sure if the first few words were also part of the clue

Thug seems right then
