2 interlocking clues are puzzling me. Can you help?
58 D 8 letters P????H?D clue is 'finished' I think the answer should be polished. That doesn't fit with 63 A 6 letters wich I think is PLUNGE for 'dive into water'. If PLUNGE is right it puts a 'U' where the 'L' of polished should be.
Any help gratefully accepted.

sorry - 63A is 'jump into water' 6 letters

58d is polished and 63a is splash
