Chris, for 3D try splitting the first clue word..

Rather disappointing to find a solution in the first entry, especially after your entry last week: I don't like to give answers for Prize crosswords...

Sorry ffannie, but that one was a write-in.

To clarify, ffannie, I meant that I didn't think that anyone would be held up by it. "Weaver" in crosswords is alwyas BOTTOM.

scorpiojo - I just can't see three 5s in the across answers. I'm assuming that you're not counting 5 itself (which is 'further defined').

Apart from the two 5s I have found, all the other across clues appear to be 'further defined' so I'm at a bit of a loss. Hard to be more specific without referring to the clue numbers.

Have now fully parsed 4d although, IMHO, there is a typo in the clue.

I get 2 across 5's and 4 down 5's and they seem to fit ok?

BY the way, Simon, is the typo you are referring to the tense of the insertion?
