Kvetch is a grouse (person who complains a lot)

Yiddish for a complainer (a grouse) is KVETCH. HIde the head and you get VETCH

Thank you telmac. I looked up all words beginning with vowels (all none of them) but didn't think that there would be a word beginning with KV. This clue showing problems on Times Crossword Club forum as well.
