I would welcome an explanation for 22, - 'Daughter wanting a tot in West End area approaching new drink supplier'. The answer is SODA SYPHON, but apart from the last two words of the clue, I can't see how the answer is arrived at.

Oh Dear - I spelt siphon with a Y! No wonder I couldn't work it out. I would never have got Soho for 'west end area' either. Must remember that one.

Thanks elle!

You're welcome!
but you didn't "misspell" siphon /syphon as it can be spelt both ways!
You just needed it spelt with an "i" for the parsing.

I know, but it needed to be spelt with the "i" if I were to send it in!
Never mind, I always tell myself that I will send the puzzle in (to The Times) when completed, but never actually get round to it!
