9ac: How a bird goes for a song that's audible
I'm being a bit thick, I think, but I need help with parsing this clue, I think. I get the clue: "How a bird goes" gives us one word; "goes for a song" gives a homonym of that word; and "song that's audible" tells me the solution "sounds like" a word for song. So... is "goes for a song" the definition? Confused, here!

Thanks, Kirky. I think this clue was ambiguous, personally, but we got there eventually!

Conventionally the definition of a cryptic clue should be at the very beginning or the end of the clue.
In this case it's 'How the bird goes'.
