Finished, but a couple I'm puzzled by

5a Valuation reduced with chain cut off (8)
E?T?A?G?
I have ESTRANGE. The RANGE is the chain (of mountains) and the definition is "cut off", but how does "Valuation reduced" give EST? I can think of some possibilities, but they are all awfully loose.

16a Turn your hand to flat-pack furniture with this? (5,4)
?L?E?,K?Y
I have ALLEN KEY, which might be used to assemble flat-pack furniture, but I don't see how the clue works.

Thanks les - that was one of the "awfully loose" possibilities. "Reduced" is a bit of an understatement for EST(imation)!

The other looks like a cryptic def Chris.
Flat pack furniture seems to always involve Allen keys which you would have to turn your hand when tightening up stuff and if you can put it together, you would be able to 'turn your hand to it's
Meaning, be proficient at it?

Thanks again, les - both a bit dodgy!

I think I've only used Allen Keys once in assembling furniture - though I haven't done any for ages. It was mainly screwdrivers when I did it.

Just checked Chambers Chris and 'est' is in as 'estimated'.

Maybe 'valued' would be more fitting with 'estimated'
