Still struggling in top left corner. 1d: Position dinosaur's taken on stage.
I have S?u?r? L??. I think the last 5 letters should be re lay for stage... But where is the dinosaur in Squa, assuming it's Square Lay.
Also 18ac: Feeling party heading for government, politician not beginnng to embrace it. I have O???, 3rd letter is Y if Square Lay is right.

and I can't find the connection between Farrago (22ac: Confused mixture DEFinition... coming from newspaper published in the Algarve).
