1a Farsi song or poem's kept back in expectation of complaint (9)

5d Boxers-one plucked hair, delivering unpleasant punishment (5,5,5)

Boxers. Shorts, one plucked harp

Answer to 1a is included backwards in first four words of the clue. Hope this helps
