I thought this puzzle was brilliant in every way. Tough but fair clueing, very clever execution of the messages and a series of superb PDMs in the grid. I was absolutely blown away when it came to filling the three isolated cells and I discovered the rationale.
Plus, I didn't know many of the details of the story.
