Frustrated by the last one

34d. Fast moving dean took courses in binding old books (5-6)
SWIFT-?I?T?D

The first part must be swift (Dean Jonathan Swift), but lost on the last half. Old books = NT perhaps.

Thanks in anticipation, I know you'll come up trumps.

Thanks Ginge and Brackendale, knew i could count on you guys. I had carelessly put cognoscenti in as cogniscenti, hence the problem.

Cheers

41d Stories about posh girl in charge of plant (8) - ANGELICA (Plant) ?

I can see 'Girl' = Angela + In Charge = IC but what is relevance of 'Stories about posh'?
