Hello. Without giving anything away, can anyone tell me if there is a problem with the answer to 26 across in today's prize? I'm sure I have the crossers right but there doesn't seem to be a word that fits.

Thanks

you might expect it to be 1,4 rather than 5 but it is in chambers

This week has been a very good one in the Guardian. But I must admit to being a bit underwhelmed with the Prize offerings recently. I know it's very much a matter of taste but...... However, again, thanks for the assist.

Possibly the easiest crossword of the week.

Hi Simon. Agree with you there apart from 26 across which had me completely flummoxed.

Yes, some odd clues and definitions. 23,2 must be one of the most meaningless surfaces I've ever seen.

(For those who aren't doing the puzzle, the clue is:
If having upturned feet, entertain in the altogether dateless attraction of New York (5,6)

I have the answer!)

Agree with you on 23,2 ChrisE. It actually took me a while to convince myself that it was the right answer. I was looking for a curve ball somewhere but there wasn't one!
