I see a few people have more-or-less finished this. I can hardly get started: don't think I've got inside this setter's brain yet. Or ... maybe it's just because I'm feeling miserable with a bad cold. Anyway ... I'll pinch one or two of the answers given on the forum, and see if that gets me going.

I will also give you the long answer for 13a EYE OF NEWT AND TOE OF FROG. I am still struggling to finish, seven more to try and solve.
