I'm stuck on 5 down which seems to be necessary for a couple of the other clues.

Double definition, though the match for the first one is a bit of a stretch.

I'd just that moment finished it, in fact. I found it easy to start but difficult to finish, and there are 3 that I don't see the parsing - but I'll wait for fifteensquared next week for those.

I'm completely stuck South East. Having 5dn hasn't helped me as I had hoped. Oh well, I'll come back to it later. Often I'm cleverer during the afternoon than in the morning. :)

Yes, the SE was where I finished too.

I nearly said something else about the solution to 5, but I metaphorically bit my tongue...............................
