help with last clue please:
1ac. Past caring for sick relative? (6)

physic is ancient (past) treatment but can't parse sick relative.

any ideas?

Physic is also a noun (old word for a doctor)
Who, in the past, would be caring for a sick relative ?

Is there a kind of joke in there, too, as "past caring" means just losing the wish to care

Could be something to do with physics and relativity but I'm not into Einstein!

In the Law of Physics, there is something called "relative motion" ! Not sure where that would lead :)
