Just two annoying little ones left. 6d "put a barrier around main line office" : S?A? OFF .... stay off, maybe, but can't see why. And 31d "cake is dry without otherwise adding juice at end" : T?R?E .... ?terse. Again, can't see why.

Thanks, all. I kept thinking "torte", knowing it was a cake: but the TT bit being teetotaler never once entered my mind. Mind you .... I was drinking a cup of tea at the time ....!
