Believe the answer is STARK NAKED

But it doesn't parse.

Suggestions why or another solution much appreciated.

It's Start Naked, apparently, which means the same (as stark naked) in some places. Tart is 'cutting' and it's inside Snaked, wound.

S tart naked ?

tart - cutting
snaked - wound (past tense of 'wind')
