12 letter z word driving me mad. Thought 10 letter m word mediations but that leaves me with ze.......... and nothing. Maybe mediations is wrong.

It was a German word that I didn't know and can't now remember. However I recall that it was fairly clued, so you can build it up from its parts.

Pastime at spot outside
Europe, with green carriage
coming back (12)
think 3 letter word for spot.

It's a German word for 'pastime' (in Chambers) composed of
a 3 letter word for 'spot' around E (for Europe) +
French word for 'green' +
4 letter word for 'carriage' (for the dead) backwards
