19D - Gulliver's author.
I wrote SWIFT but the compiler says DEFOE is correct.
Who is right? I think I am!

I'm glad others found Defoe to be incorrect as an answer to 19D. I was convinced it should be Swift, but could not make answers to other clues fit with that. What did you make 16D to be - Violent seizure of property (6)? I have _A_I_E and am bereft of ideas.
