Ok, but why ??

Vide supra means "see above" or "see earlier.

Vide infra means "see below". So this is what you want.

VIDE SUPRA has to be the answer to fit the crossword....

Have just bought a Times (Invoice in the post). As suspected you omitted to mention that the clue number is 1Down, so the first thing you see when you look above it is the word Down.

The will to live is fast oozing away...
