Yes ... I too couldn't make up my mind which way round to respond to the clue for 20d. Incidentally .... there's a lovely Christmas carol that opens with the words "I wonder as I wander": I can just hear our daughter singing it as a solo line at the age of about 14 (40+ years ago!?)

Overall, though, 1176 must be the quickest I've ever finished a Jumbo cryptic. BUT .... just one hang-up: 54a "Relating to a third order not available in towelling" T?R?A?S. Don't know which makes some sort of connection with towelling - THREADS or TARTANS?

54 across is TERNARY

Not (N) inside TERRY (towelling). Ternary is in the same family as binary.
