I'm trying to learn but I only buy the paper on a Saturday - and I gather that that can be the most difficult day. Is there a solution available online later in the week? I have last week's (Paul - 26717) and managed three answers

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link - I've no objection to seeing last week's answers as I'm now trying to understand this week's!

Great, so it looks like it's published on a Friday online, that gives me a good week to try and complete it.

You should try the 'quiptic' crosswords on the Guardian website, it's a web only one and is published every Monday, it's aimed at beginners so could be a good one for you to do also if your trying to learn!

Good luck!

Even though you only buy the paper on a Saturday, the Cryptic crosswords generally start with easier ones on a Monday and build up in difficulty through the week (not always true) to the Prize on a Saturday. So, as well as the Quiptic, you might want to start with the online Cryptic on a Monday. Just a thought......

....and, very Old School, I bought a book called 'how to solve cryptic crosswords' by Kevin Skinner!
You've probably found all the websites that take you through, step by step , if you google 'how to solve cryptic crosswords', and the fifteensquared website gives answers daily to a variety of crosswords? I wish you many hours of happy solving!
