7 down:

Stole - away but not all the way (4-6) - h ? l ? I ? c ? e ?.

The answer seems to be the slang 'half-inched' for stole = pinched, but cannot see the rest of the clue. Would be grateful if someone would parse it for me. Thanks in advance.

Stole away is inched (= moved slowly), not all the way is half, together gives half inched = pinched

To have prepared a case (suitcase variety) is to have packed, to the speaker is the same as PACT = agreement
