1 triple definition. Monitor was an early ironclad ship, involved in the American Civil War, I think

2 Alice in Wonderland (or was it the other one?)

3 Midsummer Night's Dream

5 B right - also Anti Corn Law campaigner

Is 4 just a weak double definition? A chap handing round cigars could be a "liberal party"?

To expand:

MONITOR means ironclad (ship), lizard, and TV in a studio

The lobsters are thrown out to sea in the "Lobster Quadrille"

( A is wrong but B is right)
