Just down to the bottom left of the puzzle and was wondering about these two:-
48 Ac - "Like certain cartoon with girl's name: watches that in French". (11) D-S-E---Q-E. It obviously ends in "que"
and the girl may well be "Di" but that's as far as I've got.
47 Down - "For example, hearing one's teacher" (6) ---S-I
Also, with regard to 54 Ac ("Screen villain doctor
turned to when speaking"), the answer would seem to be
"Hyde", but how does "when speaking" apply?

Thanks again to Chris and Jazzgirl - not over-enamoured with the clue for "Hyde", but the other two are good!
