Think l have done this one but can't pare three of them:
10a) As in scare, distressed (7)
Think this is ARSENIC but no idea why.

24a) Mulch possibly decayed in hours (7)
Think this is NOURISH but again don't know why.

26a) New style recalled something dull (4).
I have YAWN for this. But surely something dull makes you yawn, it isn't "a" yawn in this sense.

24 defn is mulch (nourish) anag of in hours
26 is N(ew) way (style) reversed = yawn

Thanks Chrise. I still don't t really understand the yawn. Something isn't "a" yawn surely. Quite a a weak clue l think.

I suppose something dull could be described as a bit of a yawn...but agreed a weak clue in terms of totally accurate parsing...
