Help please with last one in 31d "Nutrient could be supplied by nectar to a bee" (12)

?E?A?A?O?E?E; it's clearly an anagram of nectar to a bee but but something I've never heard of

Assistance from any nutritionists out there would be much appreciated

I eventually got this but I think the setter should have said (4-8) not (12).

Similar issue on 41d which I think should be (9) not (6,3)
