I'm all but finished but would appreciate help in parsing the last one. It's 14a) group of men got in strong beer (4,3) I have S?R? O?T . The answer surely is SORT OUT but how come?

OR is other ranks, men, and it's inside Stout, strong beer.
Sort Out = Group, put into order etc.
