AB always put a ? at the end of his answers. He is always spot on, and I think the ? is just his way of saying "how about this as the correct answer " ! :)

Jazzgirl, thanks for that - I thought the ? was showing a slight doubt, hesitation. As you say, AB is always spot on anyway!

26d. Turn down, even though in order (8) - DECREASE (Turn down) - Fits the definition but can't see how it's parsed.
