Hi Jazzgirl. I think I have the answers as I thought those were the definitions, I just can't seem to parse.
15a - first name David?
14d - can't parse the 'almost promise' part of the clue.

15 yes
14 almost promise : vo(w)

15a - can't parse the 'marshall' part if that is the answer
14 down- aaah! I am not thinking of that word. back to the drawing board on that one.
